1980's Jean Marlaix for La Bagagerie Red Leather Bag

This red leather handbag came from a woman's estate who had an incredible eye for unique design elements! She loved designers like, Issey Miyake, Comme des Garcons, Sonia Rykiel, Patrick Kelly, Norma Kamali and Kenzo.  Her estate was filled with exceptional vintage fashions from the 1970's and 1980's, and I was so fortunate to be able to acquire her clothing and accessories!

This particular vintage bag is by Jean Marlaix for La Bagagerie and was made in France in the 1980's. It appears to have never been used, and still has its original zip top bag attached by a chain inside.  The bag measures 8 inches wide and is 7 inches high, with a 3" handle drop or the adjustable shoulder strap has a 20, 21, or 22" drop to the top of the bag.  I love the bold red color, metal accents and this is a truly unique handbag that is perfectly contemporary right now!
